After nearly 12 months of continuous bad report, the news that the elderly, the vulnerable and health workers are now being vaccinated is great news indeed! Yes, the COVID 19 pandemic is still very much here, but finally, there is hope on the horizon for humanity. For months Christians around the world have prayed earnestly that God would visit mankind with a solution to combat this deadly virus. The vaccines are surely answers to that prayer.
Whenever there has been a challenge throughout history, God has always vested human beings with his own ability and enabled us find a solution. Genesis 1:27 says:
‘So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.’ This means that we can be like God in our moral, spiritual and intellectual nature.
So, what is the implication of this truth for you and me personally? We all face challenges daily, especially in this season. Some challenges are easy enough, but others can seem insurmountable. This is when we need to pray earnestly for the ‘God in us’ to emerge and because God’s thoughts towards us are always good, he will do ‘immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us..’ (Ephesians 3:20).
So, we must learn to live with confidence and refuse to fear. With God beside us, there is no mountain we cannot climb. We just need to slip our hands into his and let him lead the way. Always remember: What God cannot do, does not exist.
Be blessed.
