Hebrews chapter 11, verses 24-27 tells us that ‘By faith Moses….persevered because he saw Him who is invisible.’
Why would Moses give up a luxurious life in Pharoah’s palace to live like a slave? Because he saw what others could not see! When you really catch a vison from God, you see what other people cannot see and your passion and commitment are ignited in ways others find it difficult to comprehend. You begin to see who you really are in Christ and you will give up anything and anyone that stands in your way. Without a clear vision from above, even the smallest obstacle will trip you up and keep you from reaching your desired goal.
God said to Abraham: ‘Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you…(Genesis 13:14-15). If you can ‘see it’ are willing to trust God and pay the necessary price, it can be yours!
Notice that God also told Moses: ‘Lift up your eyes from where you are.’ This means that, from where you are today, you can catch a glimpse of what God has in store for you, however far-fetched it may look. James 4:2 says: ‘You have not, because you ask not.’ We don’t ask because we don’t see, so we live short of our potential. Today, ask God to give you a vision of who you are in Him. Then ask Him to reveal who He is to you, the one ‘who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to His power that works within us (Ephesians 3:20).
